T

Expression for the thickness of a material

It is sometimes useful to include the thickness of the material in a formula.

To do this use the T function to refer to the material code.

X - T(MFC18)

When using the material code the code must be in brackets and the function must start with the letter T.

The use of the material code is especially useful where the material code may vary from product to product or where it is clearer to express the formula in terms of the material. So here the material code is referenced by the variable @MAT@ and the thickness of the material being used is taken from the X value of a part.

X - T(@MAT1@)
