Auxiliary menu

Link to external programs and batch files

Use this to run other programs from the main menu. For example, run a spreadsheet or another production program.

Not all programs can run from the Auxiliary menu as this depends on many factors, such as memory, type of program and so on, but many programs should run without any trouble.

To do this, at the main screen:-

 Select: Auxiliary - Change menu

The program displays a dialog showing existing items on the menu

 Move to an empty line

 Enter program name and description

- Use the list button to select paths and file names

Program name - Enter the full program name and full path, for example: C:\PRD\REMNANT

 -  program extension is not needed for .EXE files.

Description - Enter a description for the program. This text appears as the menu option

OK - Save changes and exit

Each item appears on the Auxiliary menu at the main screen, e.g.

On choosing an auxiliary menu option the optimising program runs the requested program.

When the requested program has finished the optimising program returns to the main menu.  If the requested program is not found no action is taken and the program remains at the main menu screen.

The other options at the 'Change menu' dialog are:-

Help - further information on this dialog

Print - print list of program links

Cancel - abandon changes and exit

Note: If commands are to be run from the Auxiliary menu then the equals sign should be replaced with a colon.

For example:-

OUTPUT /PRINT /REPORTS:BCE

Note

- If any stand alone commands are to be run directly from the Auxiliary menu, Automatic command files, Saw transfer (program name) or Machining transfer (post transfer program) areas of the software then any equals sign "=" should be replaced with a colon ":".
