Minimum size of last cut but one

Saw parameter to set limits on the last cut but one

Set the minimum size for taking the last cut but one on the board. Enter a value for rips and crosscuts.

On many saws it is difficult to cut very narrow strips or take small trims at the rear of the board or part because they are difficult to clamp. In the above example extra waste is included at the rear of the board so the parameter is obeyed.

The size of the 'last cut but one' is:-

Rips: rear rip trim plus the width of the last strip

Crosscuts: rear crosscut trim plus the length of the last part

For a zero rear trim:-

Rips: widths of the last two strips + one saw blade thickness

Crosscuts: lengths of the last two parts + one saw blade thickness

For example on patterns with zero trims it is less likely that the program moves waste or rearranges strips and parts to satisfy these parameters. If a waste is changed a non-zero rear trim is created and the size of the last cut is the dimension of this trim and the width of the last strip (or length of the last part).

Notes

- This parameter also applies to recuts

- The program calculates the size of the last cut but one only if a phase contains at least two cuts.
