Overall cutting length

Saw parameter to specify the width of the saw

Single saws (and sliding table saws).

- Enter the overall cutting length for the saw.

Do not use this parameter for Multi-axis saws. To enter the cutting lengths for these use the separate parameters on the Multi-axis tab.

These values are used both to determine whether strips can be turned whilst cutting is in progress and to eliminate cutting patterns that cannot be cut.

Notes

The maximum length of a head allowed is determined by the cutting length of the crosscut saw on angular plants otherwise it is the cutting length of the rip saw.  If the depth of bed for drawback is less than the relevant cutting length this determines the maximum length of head. For example:-

Overall cutting length Rip saw = 4300

Overall cutting length Crosscut saw = 2200

Depth of bed for drawback = 4000

Maximum length of head on angular saw = 2200

Maximum length of head on single saw = 4000
