Speed - Head cut

Saw parameter to set the speed of cutting for head cuts

When moving forward to take a head cut the saw carriage travels at a speed set by the sawyer. Enter this time as the forward speed.

The saw carriage moves at maximum speed when it returns to the starting position after taking a cut. Enter this as the return speed.

This time is used to calculate the time of each cut so it is important to enter an accurate time.

Enter a value for the headcutting in each field. Specify the speed in meres per minute (or feet per minute if you are using Imperial measurements). This value is speed of the saw for the headcut operation where you do not have separate saws.

Faster operation with small books - for this option enter the values for faster times at tab: Speeds and Times 2 unless set as a Material parameter then enter it in the 'Small books' box

Notes

- Can also be set as a material parameter at both board and material level

- The Return speed is NOT used for Faster operation with small books
