Destacking parameters for stations
Enter the length , width, type of station and optional station link in the columns, for example:
Station Length Width Auto/Man. Link
1. Size of station 1 2400 1600 A 3
2. Size of station 2 2100 1200 M
3. Size of station 3 2500 1200 A
The sizes are shown in millimetres in the above example.
The values for the type of station are:-
A - automatic station
M - manual station
S - semi-automatic station
If the third value is not A or M or S the station is not available.
Adjacent stations - use the final column to specify adjacent stations. This is used when a part does not fit any single station or when the part layout is too large for any one station.
Enter the number of the station to link to. In the above example stations 1 and 3 are linked.
Station Length Width Auto/Man. Link
1. Size of station 1 2100 1200 A 3
2. Size of station 2 2100 1200 A
3. Size of station 3 2500 1200 A
If three stations are linked the second station specifies the third adjacent station.
Station Length Width Auto/man Link
1. Size of station 1 2100 1200 A 3
2. Size of station 2 2100 1200 A
3. Size of station 3 2500 1200 A 4
4. Size of station 4 1800 1200 A
In this case Station 1 is linked to station 3 and station 3 is linked to station 4. Stations 1 3 and 4 can be linked as a single station or 1 and 3 and 3 and 4 can be used as single stations.
Note - Automatic and Manual stations cannot be combined. Semi-automatic stations can be linked with either Manual or Automatic stations.
Station Summary - There is no indication on the station summary that stations have been combined in order to destack a part. Parts appear next to the first combined station.
Open Parts - number of open stations (parts) allowed is determined by the number of available stations. The optimising parameter: Max open parts is ignored when optimising with destacking optimisers.
Notes
- The station Length and Width follow the System parameter: Order of dimensions. When this parameter is set to Length/Width the first dimension is the station Length and when set to Width/Length the first dimension is the station Width.
