Box for destack mode

Destacking parameter to specify how parts are destacked between automatic and manual stations

The destack mode specifies how parts are distributed between automatic and manual stations. It is quite common, for example, to have a manual station (it may be just a floor area) where large size or odd size parts are stacked.

Enter the number of the information box that is used for specifying how the part is destacked.

Typically this is a 'User defined' information box set up for this purpose. If a suitable box is not available use the Information box parameters to set up a box (at the main screen: Parameters - Information boxes). Once the box is set the mode of destacking operation can be set against each part in the part list.

The modes are:-

A - destack at automatic stations

S - destack at semi-automatic stations

M - destack at manual stations

Semi automatic stations

A setting of 'S' for semi-automatic allows a part to go to either an automatic, manual or semi-automatic station, whichever is free.

Once a station has been chosen for a part marked as 'S' all further instances of that part are destacked at the same station.

Automatic stations are preferred to manual stations and manual stations are preferred to semi-automatic stations. Thus stations are prioritised based on station type and number. Automatic stations have the highest priority. Where two stations are the same type the station with the lowest number will have the highest priority.
