Off-loading to stations with fixed sizes and often with a limited number of stations
This typically applies to semi-automatic or automatic destacking systems.
- Set up the number and sizes of the Stations with the Destacking Parameters
- Set Optimising parameter: Optimiser type to an appropriate optimiser type
- Set the Optimising parameter: Destack with station sizes (check the box)
- Set up destacking information for each part (Destacking library)
- Set a Part list information box for the Destacking style
- Enter the destacking styles for each part in the Part list (or Part library)
On optimising the program produces a Station summary and Destacking summary which show how the stations are loaded.
Destacking information can also be sent to some saws via Transfer to Saw
Notes
- Check System parameters for destacking and ensure the security key and modules are set to include destacking and the destacking data is created.
- Check the Review runs screen and make sure that the destacking summaries are selected. There are separate settings for the printed versions and exported versions of the reports.

Destacking information on labels - When the system is set up for destacking the destacking information for each part is available for forms and labels and fields such as the 'Station number' that a part is destacked on can be included in the label design.
Optimising parameters and part list settings
- Check the Optimising parameters
- The use of destacking stations reduces the allowed number of open parts. To produce a lower number of patterns it is advisable to set an acceptable overs percentage in the part list.
- Duplicate parts are not allowed for automatic destacking as they produce complications for the destacking process.
- The maximum open parts should be set equal to the number of available destacking stations, that is, the number of stations declared as A, M or S in destacking parameters. If the maximum number of open parts is, for example, 4 and the number of available stations is 6, the first 4 available stations are used. If the maximum number of open parts is 7 and the number of available stations is 5, the maximum number of open parts is treated as 5. If there are more than 3 different board sizes for each material set the number of different boards to '3'.
