More details on baseboard information
The program automatically calculates all the destacking information and provides several destacking reports.
There is an optional link to automatic destacking machinery.
The calculations are based on the destacking descriptions or styles in the destacking library or as set by the destacking information box parameters.
Pallets - fixed size calculation - Pallets are a fixed size and parts are allocated to pallets on a best fit basis - this takes into account any allowed overhang of the stacks.
Baseboards - variable baseboard size calculation - A baseboard can vary in size and is usually calculated to fit the destacking picture for the part plus (optionally) a small oversize. The program also produces a cutting list for the baseboards themselves which can also be optimised if necessary.
Runner calculations - The runners usually run in the length direction so that parts are usually rotated with respect to the runners. The number in the width is therefore always 1.
Cutting list for Baseboards - If the destacking method is baseboards the program can optionally produce a Baseboard cutting list. This is a cutting list in the standard format for the optimising program - so the list can be optimised in the usual way.
The baseboard cutting list file name is the first 7 characters of the Part list name plus the hyphen symbol.

JONESJOB > JONESJO-
If the baseboard cutting list already exists it is automatically overwritten.
The baseboard cutting list is calculated from the information boxes set for each part, as follows:-
Baseboard Description - part list item number
Baseboard length - calculated
Baseboard width - calculated
Baseboard quantity - calculated
Baseboard material - global information box in part list
Overs - 0%
Unders - 0%
Grain - N
Edging - 0000
Information boxes - blank
If more than one part uses the same baseboard the item number of the first part to use that baseboard is used followed by a *. Duplicate sizes are automatically aggregated.
