Max. destacking height - dimension

Limit for the overall destacking height

Enter maximum destacking height in linear measure (millimetres or inches)

The maximum stack height in terms of pieces is specified in a separate parameters - this is often needed for thin material. The limit broken first (number of pieces or measurement) is taken as the overriding limit.

This value is set at the destacking library or in the Information boxes in the part list.

Notes

Calculation of Maximum Destacking Height - The number of parts that can be destacked is determined by the part layout and the destacking height. The latter value can be set by either a linear dimension (e.g. 500mm) or as a number of parts (e.g. 25 parts). When both a linear dimension and a number of parts is set the maximum height is taken as the minimum of the two.

The maximum height includes the thickness of any baseboards or pallets used for the stack and the thickness of a support (if any). For example:-

Destacking height                          500 mm

Support thickness                          150 mm

Bottom baseboard thickness                  15 mm

Top baseboard thickness                     15 mm

Thickness of part to be destacked           15 mm

Maximum destacking height (500-50-15-15)   320 mm

Maximum number of parts in a stack (320/15) 21

Notes

- number of parts is rounded down to the nearest whole number.

- the program works out from the maximum height dimension and the thickness of any support or baseboard etc. and the thickness of the material the maximum number of pieces that can be destacked. This value is compared to the value for 'Max. destacking height - pieces' and the lower of the two values is the limit used.
