Set up for product requirements

Data needed for product requirements

Product requirements are (at the simplest) a product and the quantity required.

Before Product requirements can be used some products have to be defined and set up with the Product library. Products contain Parts so to define Products there must also be some Parts set up in the Part library

The minimum required is a few parts in the Part library with fixed sizes and materials and a few products in the Product library that contain some or all of those parts. This should be sufficient to use Product requirements and become familiar with how it operates. (The Demonstration data shows several examples).

Other settings to consider

Custom products - For Custom products (where the parts and materials are defined by formula and some items are variable) this can become quite a complex process and will take time to master. In this case it is best to experiment with some simple test products first (made of fixed parts with fixed materials) to quickly get a feel for how Product requirements operates.

System parameters - there are options in these parameters to set how dividing list works and how product the product screens and reports are sorted and displayed
