May occur when accessing user Profiles
If a computer is shut down or a Network goes down before exiting from the Optimising program the current User Profile is typically left in a locked state. When the Optimising program is restarted it automatically tries to recover the locked state and proceeds to open the Profile in the usual way.
However, the recovery may fail, and there can be other causes of a locked directory (e.g. the Profile is already in use by another user). In these cases the Profile remains locked and the program shows a this warning message.
