May occur when editing the various sequential numbers via System parameters
With more than one user (either users on a network or users with different profiles on the same computer) it is often useful to co-ordinate processes where a sequential number is used. For example; when naming optimised runs, orders, offcuts, tracking parts etc. Sequential numbers are available for the following parameters.
Last sequential run number (system parameters - Rules 1)
Last quote estimate number (system parameters - Rules 1)
Last saw group number (system parameters - Rules 1)
Last offcut number (system parameters - Rules 2)
Last part item tracking number (system parameters - Rules 2)
Last drawing number (machining centre parameters - Generation)
When attempting to edit one of these 'number' parameters the shared file could not be accessed. This may be caused by:-
- Path not available (Network down)
- Path is locked (a change is being made by another user)
Check for the above issues and re-try.
Note - If this error occurs during transfer to machining and the system parameter path for shared control files is set but the path is not accessible after correcting the problem the cutting list will need to be re-created, re-optimised and the transfer performed again
