Data not correct

Some data is not correct or missing

This error may occur in several different situations. It is often caused by blank lines or empty fields and other missing data. The options are:-

Yes - abandon data entry or import or changes

No - return to edit screen to correct problems

Help - information about this error

It is typically best to select NO and go back and check the data; this error is often caused by a blank line or blank field and this can often easily be located and fixed. The program usually prevents saving the data or changes to the data until the bad data is corrected or abandoned.

Make sure that the error number shown is the one at the foot of this topic. Where the number is different and the message is of the form 'Data not correct - xxxxxxxxxxx' - this is a different message (locate the correct message by using the Search tab in the Help dialog and searching for the number shown in the error message).

The following items list some possible causes of this error in different situations.

Bad import data

During an import process the program encounters bad data. Import file is not in the correct format or contains invalid data. For example, import parts, import product requirements, import patterns, Analyse Shifts, Analyse runs, Stock control, Import DXF, Import from PTX files. In most cases the file is created by other software so there may be an error in the file format. If the message occurs when importing parts or patterns from a pattern exchange file (ptx/mdb) the message may include details of the records that are causing the problem.

Check the import file

Trying to save the Information boxes set up when there is invalid data

This usually occurs when accidentally entering invalid data such as '99' for the length of a box and exiting without moving off the field.

Check the data in the cell and correct it.

Trying to save the Information boxes set up when there is conflicting data

The set up includes combinations of information boxes that are not valid. For example, using the same variable in more than one information box.

Make sure each any variables are assigned to only one information box each

Trying to save the Variables table when the same information box is assigned to more than one variable

Each variable must use a unique information box.

Check the assignments in the INF column.

Board library - material or board code is not correct

Check code and repeat operation.

Board library database not correct

The board library data was not loaded correctly. Usually the Grid of material codes etc. is not visible. Check that the link to the database is Ok and that the database has not become locked or corrupted. It is usually possible to unlock the database quite easily and there is a repair facility that can fix any corruptions (these are often very minor) - see topics on Board library.

Machining library - contour not complete

Occurs if there is a contour that has no routs (groove or arc) or no passes. This can occur, for example, on pressing Exit or Esc to end a contour as a pass is not automatically added.  A contour should be ended with a right click.

Stock orders

If an error is detected when saving a Stock order this message is reported. When the dialog is closed the program returns to the stock edit screen.

Stock adjustment

The program reports an error if there are any blank lines or quantities in the stock adjustment list.
