A material, part, product or other code is not in a valid format or length
May occur in many places in the software and indicates that one or more of the codes is not in the correct format.
The message usually shows the code(s) causing the error.
The code may contain invalid characters or be too long etc. This can happen for any sort of code, for example, part codes, board codes, order codes, edging codes etc.
For some saw models there are restrictions on the codes that can be used for 'Transfer to saw' and there are also restrictions set by the Saw parameters. For CADmatic 1/2 these controllers only accept short codes. If the Saw parameter (Cutting 2): Allow long codes is checked (on) the program automatically shortens codes in this case. If the parameter is not checked (off) this error message is reported if the codes exceed the restricted length for CADmatic 1/2.
This can also be caused by a blank code, for example, if the edging code column is left blank on a row in the edging library.
Incomplete data often causes this message
Check data and re-try.
