May occur when formula are evaluated
For example, a variable in a formula does not have a value or has a value that is not in the correct range. Where appropriate the message indicates the product, part and field that is causing the problem.
Check the formula carefully and re-try.
The formula syntax is probably correct as this is checked when entering the formula but part of the formula is not evaluating correctly.
For example if a product is using the following formula to define a part length this illustrates this message if the variable @MAT@ does not evaluate to a number - in this case the wrong variable has been used in the formula although the formula syntax is OK.
Length: X-32.0+2*(@MAT@)
- May also get this message in other situations where formula are evaluated or checked such as the Machining library, Part library and CAD Drawings.
- May also occur if the formula is recursive. For example if the formula is named: HINGEPOS1 and the definition is =2.0*&HINGEPOS1& - this is not allowed.
- May also occur when using 'Export product library' and duplicate codes are encountered. The export does not continue.
