This occurs in situations where a path (directory) is specified but the path name is not correct
It usually indicates that the syntax of the path name is not correct or that a path name is required but none was entered.
Check the entry carefully.
In some cases if this error occurs it is not possible to move off the data entry box until the path is corrected or removed - this prevents the program later attempting to save or retrieve data from an invalid location. Delete the entry and leave the path blank to be able to move from the box.
This message can occur anywhere that a path name is required, for example:-
System parameters
Copy / Convert
File Management - Archive
Machining centre parameters
Backup
Restore
Saw Group transfer
May also occur during Saw transfer. In this case the error may include the saw number, saw name and a more detailed error message. The saw 'number' is the item number from the Saw transfer parameter list. It typically indicates that a machine involved in a group transfer is offline or the user name and password (if required) are not correct.
Transfer to machining - invalid transfer paths
At the start of transfer to machining, the following paths are checked:-
Path for part drawings
Path for back instructions
Path for horizontal instructions
Path for work list (LIS)
Pattern path
CSV path
PNX path
If any of these paths are set but invalid an error is reported, typically the paths involved are listed.
This message can occur if the filename used in the path creation is too long (e.g. over 50 characters).
Saw simulator
May occur for optimising if a saw simulator is set up for calculating cutting times. A temporary file used by the simulator and the optimising program cannot be accessed.
Restore
At restore this message often indicates that the directory to 'restore to' has not been entered at the 'Restore dialog'.
