Unable to connect to the internet

May occur when downloading an upgrade file from the internet, attempting to upload a report file or for cloud licence operations (logging in, logging out, registration)

If an error occurs when attempting to establish the connection, this is reported with extra diagnostic information. An example is shown below.

In this case, please check the internet connectivity of the PC being used.

The most common errors are listed below:

[1:0:0]         - Basic internet connection test failed

[2:0:11002]  - DNS lookup failure (error during host resolution)

[2:0:10112]  - DNS lookup failure (host resolution request refused)

[3:1:200]     - Test communication with the licencing server failed

If the problem cannot be resolved, please relay the information shown to your distributor for further advice.

May also occur for floating licences when the program periodically contacts the licencing server to check that the seat is still valid. If the internet connection is not available at this point, the program allows a 'grace period' for this to be restored (36 hours). During the grace period, the main menu program reports warnings at four hourly intervals.

When the grace period ends, the licence is reported as invalid.
