Core trim

Edging library field

Some processes require the core material to be trimmed before edging, laminating or other operations.

Use this value to specify the size of the core trim (if any).

For example, 20mm may be trimmed from an edge to ensure that the edge is smooth and straight for the application of laminate or tape or for adding a solid timber strip.

Where the face or back of a part is laminated the core trim is taken into account when calculating the laminate dimensions and cut size. The laminate size also depends on whether the laminate is applied before or after any edging.

Range:

0-99.9 millimetres

0-9.999 decimal inches

0-9-63/64 fractional inches

Note - core trim value cannot be negative
