Saw parameter to set limits on the head portion of the board
For a 3 saw system a pattern with a checkerboard head is normally cut by taking the head cut only and treating the head as a staggered head.
However, if there is only one part type in the head the head portion can be divided as a checkerboard head if the length of the part exceeds a minimum value.
If the length of the part type is too short the head cannot be successfully, divided by the rip saw as there may not be clamps sufficiently close together to deal with a short ripping length. In practice this distance has to be greater than the distance between the first and second clamps on the rip saw.
If the length of the part is less than this parameter the pattern is cut as a staggered head. This parameter only applies to a 3 saw system.
