Continuation and final pages

How pages work with design

Forms only

For some Forms such as an invoice or despatch it is often necessary to create different layouts for the Initial, continuation and final pages. For example, the initial page may contain the company logo and the final page may contain the totals etc.

For a single format use the Initial page - this is the default setting when you create a form.

To create a continuation or final page, at the Designer screen:-

Select: select the EDIT menu and tick one of the options:-

Initial page

Continuation page

Final page

If creating a new continuation or final page the program copies the contents of the current page to use as the basis for the new page.

To move to an existing page click on the appropriate option above. Each page format is stored in the same file.

Placing items - An object with type 'Item' (for lists of data of varying length) can be placed any type of page but if there are no objects set to type item - all other item related objects are ignored (e.g. start and end of item).

Page numbers - can be included on all types of page.

Guide bars - can be used on all types of page
