Detailed breakdown of the cost of each item in a run
This is a report for each part in a run (part list). The report is sorted into the order of the original part list. Note that for some of the information such as laminates, solid edging , fittings, and machine details you also need the relevant module.
At the main screen:-
● Select: Print - Part costing
Program shows Part costing dialog
● Select: Print - Full
● Select OK to print
The columns shown on the report are the usual columns from the part list. The finished size of the part is shown on the first line. The other components and operations are shown below the finished size. If there is additional information for each part this is shown below the first line; there can be up to 15 boxes of additional information.
Cut size; this is the size for cutting at the saw
Front laminate; the front laminate size (if any)
Back laminate; the backing laminate size (if any)
Edging material (up to four edges)
The print for edging depends upon the type edging material. If the material is linear (e.g.: tape or timber) the edging code, edging description and linear metres required for the part are shown, for example:-
If the edging is a sheet material (e.g.: laminate) the print shows the edging code, edging material code, and the size of the laminate strip, for example:-
Saw costs; the costs of cutting (cutting time)
Machine centre costs; costs of machining
Edgebander costs; costs of edgebanding
Costs for user defined operations; these are the costs of the extra operations you have defined for each part.
For saw, machine centre, edgebander, and user defined costs the cost are based on the calculated time and the machine utilisation as set up in the Machine rates table. In most cases the machine is used less than 100% efficiently (because of down time and other stoppages. The Usage is the adjusted time in decimal hours. For example, 4mins 36secs cutting on a saw that has a utilisation of 90% actually takes 5mins 7secs or 0.08519 hours.
Actual Usage Rate Cost
Saw 4:36 0.08519 75.000 4.888
All costs are based on the cost of one part. The total cost for all the parts of that type in the run is shown on the Part costing - Summary report.
The time is shown in minutes and seconds in the format: Minutes:seconds, for example: 4:34 (four minutes 34 seconds)
