Laminate edging

Edging library function code

A laminate is either a narrow strip (18-25mm wide, 3/4-1in.) for placing on the edges of parts or a larger laminate piece for laminating the faces of parts.

This laminate may be cut out of a larger laminate sheet and therefore needs to be optimised

The program calculates the laminate requirements for a part list when you choose the option CUTTING LIST. The laminate sizes are added to the cutting list so that you can optimise them.

If using laminate strips of less than 5mm width you should code these as function code 2 (solid) or 1 (tape) because the optimisers cannot deal with strips of less than 5mm (1/4 in.). It is often not worth optimising very narrow strips as they can easily be cut out of offcuts.
