How materials are identified
The Board library contains the details of the Materials in use and the Board sizes available for each Material. Material is important because Optimisation is based on the Material codes. A material code represents both the type of material (Chipboard, Hardboard etc) and the material thickness; for example:-

PARTICLEBOARD-3/4IN
TEAKLAMINATE-1MM
To enter a new Material enter a unique code and other data describing the Material. The data required is:-
Material Code
Description
Thickness
Grain
Book Height (maximum)
Parameter list for Material (if any)
Name of file for Material picture (if any)
Material type
Density
Material code, Thickness and Grain are essential. Using pictures for each material is optional.
