Board library field for the default grain direction for a material
Where parts are produced from a grained or patterned material the part can be oriented in different ways.
Use this field, at the list of materials in the board library, to set the default grain direction for the material code. This value applies to all the board sizes for that material.

This value can be overridden by the settings for each part at the part list and/or by the setting for individual boards in the board library (or at the board list).
Whilst, typically, this value is the same for all board sizes for a material there are cases where the grain direction is different or is ignored for different parts or board sizes, for example, if the part is used as a filler or backing piece.
