Book height - material

Board library for the maximum cutting height

Maximum book height for the material as a number of boards (for example, 5).

This setting determines the number of cycles. For example, if the maximum book height is 2 the program assumes up to 2 boards high. For a pattern that is cut 5 times, this gives 3 cycles (2 cycles at 2 high and 1 cycle at 1 high).

This value can be useful for limiting the number of pieces in a book rather than the actual height of a book; for example, when cutting thin material such as hardboard.

For optimisation - this value for the material is compared with the saw parameter settings for book height (which depend on the saw) and the lowest value takes precedence. For example, even if the material can usually be cut 5 high there may be a limit set by the saw of 4 high for a run.
