End groove 

 

Drawing option for Machining

 

 Select: Function - End groove

or

Select option from the Function Toolbar

 

 

Move the cross hair cursor to the required location

First click - Start

Second click - End

Move to create Depth

Click to finish

 

 Adjust the values with the Machining instructions pane at the left

 

 

- Eiither the X or Y dimension must lie along the edge of the part. The default for the position of groove is Z/2, where Z is the material thickness. You must use the tool box to specify the groove position if it is other than Z/2.

 

Tool - use this box to enter the tool number and other information. Click on the [+] button to enter options via a dialog (this is only available for some types of machining centre). 

 

MPR(X) - The depth of an end groove is output as a minus number when transferred to Woodwop 4.0/4.5. For example if the depth of the end groove is 50.00 then ZM='-50.00' is output to the MPR(X) file.
