Option to create an machining drawing element
Use this to set one or more passes of the tool when creating a contour. The contour function defines the geometry of the item and one or more passes define the cutting. In many cases one pass is used to create the contour but in more complex cases there may be extra passes at different depths or one section of the contour is cut in one pass and the rest in another pass. When the contour is completed a pass is automatically created. To add edit or add passes:-
● Move to the contour required
● Select: Function - Pass
Description - a description (optional) for the function
Back - whether on front or back of piece
On / Off - enable or disable this function
Start element
End element
The 'Start element' and 'End element' refer to the first rout of the pass and the final rout of the pass. This determines, for the pass, where the machining starts and which elements are machined. In some cases a contour may have several passes and not all the routs are taken in one pass.
