Formula - material thickness

Formulae involving thickness

It is sometimes useful to include the thickness of the material in a formula.

To do this include the actual dimensions of the thickness or use the T function to refer to the material code.

X - 18

X - T(MFC18)

When using the material code the code must be in brackets and the function must start with the letter T.

The use of the material code is especially useful where the material code may vary from product to product or where it is clearer to express the formula in terms of the material.

X - T(@MAT1@)

X - 2*T(MFC18)

Notes

 - With a variable such as @MAT1@ that variable must be used elsewhere in the product, for example, as the variable for the material code.
