Specific machining centres
Make sure to set the relevant machining centre parameters for Biesse. Enter the machine instructions for each part drawing in the usual way. The program automatically converts each part drawing into the correct instructions for the Biesse machining centre when you transfer the information to the machining centre. The file format is CID3.
Depth in horizontal plane (Z) - Enter the depth for a horizontal operation (eg: a horizontal bore). Z=10
Enter the all Z distances in the part drawing measured from the top of the part.
If no depth is given it is assumed to be thickness/2.
Exclude instructions - Use this to exclude an instruction from the machining centre. Some users find it useful to filter out certain machine instructions during the transfer of information to the machining centre. For example you may want the drawing to show all the instructions but only some of the operations are not carried out on the machining centre.
T=X
Enter this for each instruction that you want to exclude. This can apply to an individual instruction or a group.
Note that there is also an instruction T=CAD to send instructions only to the CADmatic Saw. This implies T=X and you do not need to specify both instructions.
If T=X applies to all the instructions for a part then no machine instruction file is produced for that part.
Others tool box instructions - You can also use some extra toolbox instructions to override the effect of the parameters. These are:-
WS= (work speed)
DS= (descend speed)
RS= (rotation speed)
RD= (rotation direction)
You must enter the overrides separately for each instruction you want to change (in the 'Tool' box option). The program automatically determines the correct instruction for the CID file depending on the type of instruction and the toolbox override entry.
You can also use the toolbox instruction to specify the tool offset.
TO= (tool offset)
This entry or value is passed directly to the CID file without change.
Biesse - list of tool box options - Check the notes above and your machining centre manual for details
