M - mirror statement
N - non mirror statement
?=M _mirror function only. This indicates that the instruction is only used during the mirrored set of operations. e.g. it only applies to the back and not to the front of the part. This instruction ensures that the function is ONLY done during the mirror operations.
?=N _nonmirror function only - ensures that the function is NOT used for the mirror operations. e.g. it is only done on the front and not the back of the part. Note that by default all instructions are done when the user chooses the mirror operations so this instruction ensures that the function is ONLY done during the non mirror operations.
For example, this can be used to do through drilling without causing breakout damage to the board surface. In the diagram above the instruction for the drill holes (X) should specify a depth of half the material thickness and the instruction for the groove (Y) should be set to ?=N for non-mirror. You can then use the mirror program to complete the drilling for the holes by machining the reverse side of the part in the mirror field.
Homag BEK - The Condition field is also used for setting up the Homag BEK machine for horizontal boring.
