The directory contains a machine instruction file for each part in a run.

The files have different extensions for each different machining centre. The filename is made up from the run number (e.g.: 00122) plus the part item number (e.g. 003).

MPR - Homag               e.g.: 00122003.mpr

Notes

- There are several different DXF file formats depending on the transfer type

- These files are in the manufacturer's format and can usually also be used and created at the machining centre. However before programming a machining centre these files have to be analysed and converted into NC or program files which contain raw machine instructions optimised for performance. This conversion is done by the machining centre manufacturer's software (post transfer program).
