Archive a run

File management option to compress and store files

The archive process produces a single file (PTA) that contains enough data to reproduce a run. It can be useful for compressing and storing older files that are rarely needed.

('Backup' is an alternative - this stores an entire user profile in a single file).

At the File Management screen:-

Select type of file as Optimisations (Runs) in the left pane

 Select file(s)

 Select: File - Archive

or

Select the Toolbar option

The program prompts to select a file name and/or directory to archive to.

Use the list box to select a path

 Select OK to finish

A number of files can be associated with a run, for example, run number 00023 could consist of the following files (and possibly others)

00023.PTN         - pattern file

00023.CUT         - cutting dimension file

00023.XBD         - offcut file

00023.STP         - strip file (strip optimiser)

TEST.PRL          - parts

TEST.CTT          - cutting list

TEST.BRD          - boards

STANDARD.PRM      - optimising parameters

SINGLE.SPM        - saw parameters

SYSTEMV11.CTL     - system parameters

All the files including the parts and board files are renamed even if the original part list name was different.
