Schelling Commander 2 - setup

Set for some Schelling saws

This setup covers the following Schelling saws

Saw                     Transfer mode

Schelling Commander 2       13

- Make sure the system is set to create data for cutting dimensions and the path for saw data is set (see System parameters). The file name is CPNC.XXX (where XXX is a run number. e.g. CPNC.342)

Saw Transfer parameters - Set up an entry for the saw(s) in the Saw transfer parameter list. The parameter values to set are as follows.

Transfer mode - set to a value of 13

Make sure that any saw parameter lists used have the saw parameter: Saw model set to 51. This is a single saw.

Restrictions for Commander 2 - Note the following restrictions for working with Commander 2. Set up the data and transfer so that the restrictions are obeyed throughout the process.

Limited Run numbers - the controller supports only numeric run numbers in the range 1-999. Any other run number or name is reported as an error. To clear this error set the last run number value in System parameters to zero.

Single Material - Only single material runs are supported. Make sure the system is set to divide parts lists into lists for each material (see System parameters). If a mixed material run is transferred, the program attempts to divide it into runs of single materials. For example, if run 00099 contains three materials, the program creates runs: 00199, 00299 and 00399. An error message is produced if a mixed material run has a run number higher than 00099.

As the CPNC files are created the three digit number is appended to an index file (cmd.txt) created in the 'Path for saw data'. This can be passed to the Schelling transfer software as a list of runs to copy to the saw controller.

Note - prior to transfer, any previous CPNC files in the 'Path for saw data' are deleted. To accumulate runs use set the Saw transfer parameter: Buffered
