Print by condition - forms and labels

Allows labels or lines on forms to printed based on a condition (rule)

 For example, the following set of items can be printed by a condition based on the material code.

Item          Size            Material

PRT/21      670.0 x  345.0      MDF15

PRT/14     1200.0 x  780.0      MDF15

PRT/11      920.0 x  345.0      MDF18

PRT/31      679.5 x  450.0      MDF18

PRT/X2     1300.0 x  478.0      PB15

Material = MDF15

Item          Size            Material

PRT/21      670.0 x  345.0      MDF15

PRT/14     1200.0 x  780.0      MDF15

Only the items with a material of MDF15 are printed. Conditions can be more complicated:-

Material = MDF15

or

Material = MDF18

Item          Size            Material

PRT/21      670.0 x  345.0      MDF15

PRT/14     1200.0 x  780.0      MDF15

PRT/11      920.0 x  345.0      MDF18

PRT/31      679.5 x  450.0      MDF18

In this case there are two conditions to be satisfied and this prints all labels where the material code for the part is either MDF15 or MDF18.

Here is another example for label printing:-

Length - millimetres  >= 250

And

Width  - millimetres  >= 250

This only prints labels for parts with any dimension larger than 250mm

To set the conditions select TOOLS - FORM DESIGN or TOOLS - LABEL DESIGN and move to the Form or label parameters dialog and select the 'Rules' tab. Use the boxes on the screen to set the condition. Select the field or item (such as 'Material' in the left hand box, then the condition (such as >, =, <) and then the value (such as MDF15)

Use the list box at the left to see a list of choices for the value - where this is relevant. For example, a list of materials where the item set is the material.

None - select this to NOT print by a condition

Note -  item for the condition can be any field available - it does not have to be a field displayed on the form or label.

Forms - On a form the conditions applies to the list of items on the form.

The available conditions are:-

>   greater than

>=  greater than or equal to

=   equal to

<=  less than or equal to

<   less than

<>  not equals to

::  contains

This feature is not relevant for printing with Homag or 'Online label PC' options where selection of label is determined at the saw
