Use and display drawings for parts where the drawing format is a Homag MPR(X) file
This can be very useful where there is a mixture of drawings created in the program and others created as MPR(X) files via the WoodWop program.
The drawings can be viewed, edited, and printed on labels in the usual way. When you edit an MPR(X) drawing the program automatically runs the WoodWop program and you can edit the MPR(X) based drawing in the usual way.
A copy of the WoodWop program must be available.
The program looks for drawings in the following order - machining library, drawing library, MPR(X) format, BMP format, WMF format.
MPR(X) drawings - machining parameters - To use MPR(X) drawings for the Part library you must set the following Machining centre parameters.
Path for machining centre program
Executable name for machining centre program
These specify the program name and the path for the location of the WoodWop program.
Dimension names - In an MPR(X) file the part dimensions (length, width, depth) can be set by variables with any name, such as L B and D but in the optimising program the names are fixed as X Y and Z. The following machining centre parameters allows you to link the MPR(X) names with the fixed program names. The maximum length of a name is 12 characters.
Note that the program automatically deals with the link between the fixed and variables names for the sizes and the program does not alter the original MPR(X) file.
Product variables values can be passed through to the variables in MPR(X) files. If a product has the same name variables as those in a MPR(X) file, the answers will be passed into the MPR(X) file for label printing. Variable based MPR(X) files can only be used if the part list is based on a product requirement list.
Review drawings - this operates in the usual way but can now also display pictures based on an MPR(X) file. In this case it is an MPR(X) file based on the fixed sizes resolved by the program.
Transfer - where the MPR(X) file is used for transfer to the machining centre the filename follows the normal rules for the Information box 'Drawing name (transfer)', that is, the filename is taken from this parameter if it is set.
Warning - Do not name BMP and WMF files with the same name as MPR(X) files if you are using mixed types. For example, do not use PROD1.MPR and PROD1.BMP together.
