Stock control option to change board costs
Use this option to update the cost of every board in the board library by a fixed factor. This is useful for general cost changes and currency conversion. At the main screen:-
● Select: Stock - Update Board costs
Do not allow other users to use or edit the board library (or stock libraries - if any) while the board cost update is underway
The program prompts to confirm the update and before the update begins automatically creates a backup the current libraries for boards and other stock records (if any).
Recovery from a faulty or mistaken update - locate the backup files and copy them to their original file names. The libraries that are part of the backup are:-
Metric Imperial
MMATV11.MDB IMATV11.MDB
The following stock libraries are in the backup if they exist
Metric Imperial
MORDERV11.LB3 IORDERV11.LB3
MALLOCV11.LB3 IALLOCV11.LB3
Each file has a corresponding backup file with the same name and a code representing the year month day and time with the extension .BAK. e.g. mmatv1120150905_1202.BAK These are stored in the same directory as the libraries (System parameter: Path for library data).
The name is created as follows.
m - measurement mode
mat - library name
V12 - version e.g. V12.x
2015 - year
09 - month
05 - day
1202 - time e.g. 10:52
Keep a careful note of the BAK files.
Conversion factor - the maximum value is 10.0000000 (7 decimal places). Negative values and values of 1 or 0 are not allowed.
In some case the conversion factor may produce costs that are not valid. These are reported as errors and the original board cost is retained. Costs that are not valid are costs greater than 999.999 and cost where the converted value is zero but the original value is greater than zero.
