Detailed settings for each drawing element
Each drawing item has a set of properties such as position, length, and colour. These can be used to check the object details and to set accurate sizes of each part of the object. At the Drawing library:-
Select object (or
use the 'Select' tool)
● Select: Edit - Properties
or
Select
the Toolbar option
or
Right click Properties
Xstart, Ystart - coordinates for start point of base line
Xend, Yend - coordinates for end point of base line
Offset - distance at right angles to base line
Text - text for dimension line
Visible - visible (1) or not visible (0)
Text offset - distance of text from start or end
Arrows - internal or external
Text placement - location of text for dimension (start, middle, end)
Line colour - colour for line
Line weight - thickness of line
Offset - gives the size of the dimension perpendicular to the distance being measured, this can be negative depending on the direction of the dimension.
Text placement - Use the Text placement field to specify whether the text is placed at the start point, end point or at the centre of the dimension. Chose the required option (Centre, Start, End) from the drop down list.
Text offset - For text placement at the start or the end, use the Text offset field to set the distance from the dimension that the text is to be positioned at. For centre placement the text offset has no effect - the text is always centred in the dimension. This field can be based on a formula.
Arrows - these can be set to be External (that is, outside of the dimension pointing inwards) or Internal (i.e. inside the dimension pointing outwards).
When a dimension is added to a drawing, the program automatically sets the text placement, offset and arrows properties. If the text does not fit inside the dimension then the placement is set to the end and the arrows are set to external, otherwise the text is placed in the centre with internal arrows. The text offset is always defaulted to 0.
Distance - Show several different distances for the dimension.

Distance in the X direction
Distance in the Y direction
After selecting the first point for the dimension, select RIGHT CLICK to show the dialog for choosing the direction you want.
@ fx $ - Use these buttons to select formula, variable or look-up items for a property. This creates a Parametric drawing. Make sure that each formula starts with symbol: =
