Description of a type of tension trim
CADmatic 4 only
This method applies a tension trim to each rip when cutting staggered strips. The method is to cut a slot in the material adjacent to each rip.
- Material pushed forward to the slot position
- Saw blade makes a pass through part of the material creating a slot
- Material pulled back to the position for the first rip and rip taken
- Second rip removes trim containing slot
Use the parameters to set the width of the notches and the amount of material bridge between the notches (this is entered as a percentage of the board length).
