Print layouts - Drawing properties

 

Cad drawings option to set default drawing features

 

Use these to change basic features of the print layout.

 

 Select: File - Drawing properties

 

Drawing extents - extent of drawing and border

 

Example: - for millimetres the following drawing extent represents a rectangle of 1000mm x 800mm.

 

LEFT 0

RIGHT 1000

BOTTOM 0

TOP 800

 

Note - drawing is always automatically sized to fit the screen area or the printed area available. Printed area depends on page size and orientation.

 

Grid values - for grid spacing at different resolutions. Use the same units as the drawing extent.

 

Example: following values represent a grid spacing of 50mm, 25mm, and 10mm (for millimetres):_

Page setup - set the printer and page orientation. Select the printer type from the Combo box. The other options are:-

 

- Portrait

- Landscape

 

The initial values are set when a Drawing template is created in the Drawing library.

 

Drawings extents and Page setup - page orientation affects Right and Top drawing extents. The overall size of the layout is not changed.

 

Page setup options can also be changed on printing via the 'Print dialog'.
