Machining parameter to set whether at least two passes are used for small part routing
- Enter a value for the maximum area of part where at least two passes can be used for routing small parts.
If a part is under the maximum area value the part is routed in at least two passes (a preliminary pass may also apply).
The first of the small parts pass rout does not cut through the material and a second rout is used to finish the cut. For smaller parts this helps to keep the part firmly held by the Vacuum table.
This value can be overridden by Material parameter settings.
Notes
- Can also be set as a Material parameter at material level.
- For a shaped part (e.g. an L shape) the overall area of the rectangle containing the part is the value used unless 'Small parts pass routing - border area' has been set in which case the actual shapes area is used.
