Set how board cost is entered in the Board library
There are two choices:-
Area |
cost per area |
Sheet |
cost per sheet |
Select the method required.
Cost per area
This is the most common method.
A value of 3.52 means 3.52 monetary units (e.g. Pounds or Dollars) per square measure of area (e.g square metres or square feet)
For example:-
£3.52 per square metre
$3.52 per square foot
Cost per sheet
Some methods of production use a cost figure based on the sheet, for example, where the material is very expensive.
A value of 3.52 means 3.52 monetary units (e.g. Pounds or Dollars) for each sheet
For example:-
£3.52 per sheet
$3.52 per sheet
Operation of board costing
For all summaries and reports the program uses 'Cost per area' so if the 'cost per sheet' method is selected the program automatically converts the value set in the Board library to a cost per area when creating the Board list for optimising. Cost per area is then the value used and shown in summaries and reports.
Offcuts
Where offcuts from a run are added to the Board library the offcut cost is added back as a cost per area and the Cost Method set to 'Area' for that offcut.
