Information about saw transfer and longer file names
Take care when transferring to saw controllers which do not support longer names. For example, the CADmatic 4 as a newer controller was designed for longer names but some older controllers may not have been.
When a run with a long run name is transferred to a saw which does not support them, the name is substituted with a short numeric run name, allocated from the System parameter: Run - last, use part list. The substituted name is displayed against the original on the saw transfer dialog.
Note - where a run is divided because the run exceeds saw limits, the divided lists are always assigned a short, numeric run name.
