Export data to an external file
At the Board library screen:-
● Select: File - Export
The program prompts for the name of the file to export to:-
- Select or enter the file name and path
- Select OK to confirm the export
Export format
The export format is: BDX
This is a special format for Boards; one line per board including material information. It can be useful for external processing and data can also be re-imported to the Board library via the Import options with this format.
Notes
- BDX format is fixed and does not depend on the local / regional settings. The field separator is fixed as a comma and the decimal separator is fixed as a dot (e.g. 3.25,example,25.7)
- The data for boards comes from the individual board record. Items, such as grain, are not taken from the Material library.
