Saw transfer option
Saw model number to 71 creates a vector file (VCT) suitable for machining centres.
If subsequently a run is transferred to a machining centre the vectors in the VCT file and the machining instructions for each part in a pattern are combined to produce a new machining file (.PC2). The standard machining (PCT) file is also produced.
The contents of the PC2 file can be examined in Review runs
Note - In addition to vectors the VCT file may also contain information on 'tabs'
These tabs are small lengths of material which a left between adjoining parts when processing 'cuts' on the machining centre. These tabs are used to hold pieces together on the machining centre so that other machining can be done without the need for clamps. Tabs are then removed manually by cutting with a knife or simply snapping.
