Set up transfer options for machining
For transfer to a machining centre it is often necessary to set up more than one method, for example, slightly different methods for different machining centres. These parameters deal with items, such as, where to place the data, whether back instructions are in a different file, what file names to use, how any tooling instructions are interpreted ... These settings depend on the type of machine and manufacturer.
● Select: Parameters - Machining centre transfer parameters
The first parameters screen is displayed.
- Enter a name for the transfer method (for example: Centre 1) and enter the other values. More than one type can be set up (any options that are set at this screen appear as options on the 'Machine Interface menu' at the main screen.
At the right hand side of the grid is a button that allows you to edit extra parameters; these vary for different transfer types. Selecting this button opens the second screen
Use the List boxes to select the paths and other choices or type data directly into the grid. If a path does not exist the program prompts to create the directory.
Set up as many links as required.
Edit / Delete - blank out the name and / or the path to remove a machine from the list. This does not affect the other items in the grid.
Notes
Nesting only (NE)
Where the program is running with only the NE module (no Machining library) the following parameters are hidden or disabled - as they are not relevant to this mode.
