Rules file for setting information boxes and other fields for the cutting list based on part list data
During optimisation the program automatically generates a cutting list for each part list adjusting the cutting size as necessary. In addition to this general operation it is also possible to set up a list of rules to make other changes to the cutting list based on the part list data.
Typically this is used to set up information boxes or other fields to categorise or control part processing. For example, parts longer than 1000mm can be categorised as 'LARGE' and this text passed to an information box
It is then possible to use the information in a later process, for example to print the text on label, sort the cutting list, export the data to another system etc.
If a rules library exists the program automatically applies the rules when creating each cutting list.
