Pattern editor option to change the layout of a part in a pattern
When editing pattern it is sometimes useful to rotate the part to fit into a different layout. At the pattern editor screen:-
● Select the part
Click on the rotate option
or
● Select: Edit - Rotate
Each selected part is rotated by 90 degrees.
The section of the pattern where the part is located (for example, in a strip) is automatically adjusted to take account of the rotation. If a part does not fit or cannot be rotated because of the grain settings the rotate is cancelled.
Notes
- Parts cannot be rotated on template patterns in the Pattern library
