Part lists - MPR(X) files

Using parts based on MPR(X) files at the part list

When a part code is entered or selected at the Part list / Cutting list if the part already exists the data for the part (length, width, material, information boxes etc) is automatically added to the entry in the part list / cutting list. By default the program checks the Part library for the details of each part.

When using parts based on external files (such as MPR(X) files) the part list parameters can be set to check the external files rather than the Part library. The information shown can include the drawing and MPR(X) variables.

To enable this option, make sure that the Part list parameter: Drawing source is set to MPR(X) and the Drawing option on the part list View menu is checked.

Notes

A part list can be generated that uses MPR(X) as the drawing source. Parts can added to an MPR(X) based part list in one of the following ways:-

- Selecting an MPR(X) drawing from a selection dialog of existing MPR(X) files

- Manually entering one of these MPR(X) names

- Manually entering a new part code

When the MPR(X) drawing source is selected for a part list the drawing dialog is always shown.

When an existing MPR(X) file is specified the drawing dialog displays that MPR(X) drawing and the associated MPR(X) variables.

For a new part code:-

If the nesting parameter: Nesting part template is set the part template drawing is displayed in the drawing dialog and the Part template variables are displayed. The part template drawing can be edited by double clicking on the part drawing.

A part list based on the MPR(X) drawing source can contain a combination of MPR(X) parts and new parts that have no associated MPR(X).
