Create and edit patterns and pattern templates in the Pattern library
To create a new pattern / template, at the Pattern library screen:-
● Select: File - New
or
Select
the New button
The screen displays a blank board area. The default size is set via the Default properties option (File - Default properties).
The new pattern starts with a default board size.
Click on the Board
properties button (at the left) to edit the current board size
Use the Add parts option to enter part size
(Start with an existing pattern by selecting the pattern via the List
option)
The Toolbar at the right contains the tools for selecting, moving, and deleting etc. parts within the pattern and an option for including headcuts.
Pattern / Template properties
Use the Pattern properties (top toolbar or File
- Pattern properties) option to set the options for the pattern.
These determine whether the pattern is a template or a fixed pattern and
set how the template operates.
